The family of the late Gerard Devlin wish to sincerely thank everyone who called at the house, brought food, stood outside on the morning of the funeral at the house, those who lined the route, those who stood outside at Milltown Chapel and those who sent flowers, cards and messages. We also wish to thank those who offered donations to Magherafelt Adult Centre, in Gerard’s name. We also wish to thank all those involved in Gerard’s life, especially Magherafelt Adult Centre, where Gerard worked for over 40 years; the Bellaghy Medical Centre doctors and social and health care professionals, who supported Gerard’s health care needs; the Antrim Area hospital staff from Ward A4, who cared for Gerard in his final days; Monsignor Dolan and the priests of Ballyscullion and Magherafelt Parishes; family, friends and neighbours. Thank you also to Jordan Kennedy of Garvin’s Funeral Service for his sensitive and gentle care during the wake and funeral. A special word of thanks to Kevin and Pat Brown, for the preparation of the grave and to Jane McAleese for her beautiful singing during the Mass of the Angels. Mass to celebrate Gerard’s life will take place in St Mary’s Church, Bellaghy on Thursday, 20th August at 7:30pm. May our special angel in heaven comfort, guide and protect his heartbroken family left behind.
The wife, daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren of the late Sandy Lee would like to thank all those who sympathised with them at the time of his passing. To the kind relatives and friends who helped or called at the home, telephoned, brought gifts, sent cards and messages of sympathy, and attended the funeral. We would like to thank the dedicated care teams from Home Care Independent, Extra Care and Trackars who looked after him in his home, and to the staff of Coleraine hospital. Much appreciation goes to the staff of Castledawson Surgery and the staff of Castledawson Pharmacy. A special thanks to the Rev Glenn Jordan for his support and conducting the funeral service. Thanks to Edith Blair and her team of helpers for providing and serving excellent refreshments following the service.
